Sometimes you need a little mood-boosting pick-me-up, and this one comes in the form of a sweet and chewy hemp ball. But unlike the packaged snacks you’ll find in grocery store aisles, these are loaded with only good-for-you ingredients.

With a sticky base of Deglet Noor dates to hold everything together, these stress-busting balls get a savory hit from rolled oats and hemp seed hearts. Not only do hemp seeds bring the perfect nutty flavor, they're also rich in healthy fats with a high amount of omega-6 and omega-3, which can help support the body's stress response. Then, for just the right amount of sweetness, a splash of pure maple syrup.

Makes about 8 hemp balls.


1 cup Deglet Noor dates, pitted and halved
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup hemp seed hearts
1/4 cup pure maple syrup


1. Add rolled oats and hemp seed hearts to a food processor and pulse until finely-chopped.

2. Add in the dates and maple syrup, and pulse until all ingredients are blended together.

3. Form 1" balls, rolling them in your hands until all sides are smooth.

4. Eat them immediately, or save them in the fridge for later.
